SUGAR SCULPTURES

Gerhard started with gelatine sugar as it is relatively robust compared to pulled sugar or other edible materials. Those types of sugar sculptures can easily be created both in exotic environments with high humidity environment as well as in exceptional large dimensions. Some of his creations are more than 10 years old already and still are good looking. He created from experimental bark designs, poured glass alike bowls to the biggest sugar bird ever made with a wing span of more than 2 metres for a gallery in Germany.
